Rachel Victoria Wagener was born on the 27 February 2010 at 1:10am atfer an uncomplicated delivery .  She weighed 3.8kg.  We were very grateful that we had decided to have her in NZ (rather than Tanzania) as she needed a General Anaesthetic on day 4 for the release of a significat tongue tie, that was affecting her feeding.  This corrected the problem and she has not had any problems since.

She continues to progress well.  She loves playing with her playgym and interacting with Grace.

Grace adores her and is a definite second Mum, telling Jenny things like "she's crying because she has a dirty nappy".  Caleb loves her also but struggles often to be gentle with her.  She is a happy baby who is thankfully sleeping well at night.

Interestingly, we have met another New Zealander living in Arusha who had a baby boy in Wellington just one minute after Rachel - what about the chances of that?
