Sports Ministry 

Sport is a universal language that has the power to bring communities together and can also be an effective vehicle for teaching life principles.  Richard’s experience as a representative sportsperson and ongoing involvement in sports ministry provide the opportunity to see this established as a key tool in bringing positive change. Initial activites have been:-

• Housing conference for sports ministry leaders in East Africa in March 2009, including delegates from Tanzania, Kenya, Ugada, Ruwanda and Ethiopia.
• Started coaching runner from our school in Magugu - a promising athlete

In the future, the sports ministry programme will include the following:

Immediate

• Commencing weekly athletic club nights for local villagers
• The training and establishment of sports ministries in and through local churches 
• Implementation of Kids Games in Tanzania

Medium to long-term

• Train and implement coaching the core strategies in Africa 
• Establishment of an African sports institute
